Outreach

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Food Pantry: MCC hosts a local food pantry. Our members and friends donate non-perishable food items, toiletries, household items, baby supplies and even pet supplies for those in need. Our food pantry is open on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Hours are 9:00am - 10:00am and 11:00am - 12:00pm. Our worship service is from 10:00am - 11:00am and all are welcome to attend. If you would like to donate items to our food pantry you can drop off items on Sunday mornings or during church office hours. To see what is most needed right now email our church office.

5th Sunday Missions: MCC is dedicated to spending every 5th Sunday of the month serving the community. Some of the service projects we have done in the past include: sprucing up a local park, feeding the homeless in our community, leading worship at a local nursing home, assisting shoppers at the grocery store. We are always looking for new outreach opportunities to include in our 5th Sunday Missions. If you have a great idea please contact the church office.

TEMP$ Work Day with CASA: This annual outreach event is open to people of all ages. The TEMP$ program is an annual one day event in which teams of CASA (Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound) volunteers weatherize the homes of clients by putting plastic on windows, insulating pipes, caulking breaches, installing smoke detectors, replacing storm doors and performing other small repairs. MCC has worked with CASA for over 10 years.

Trunk or Treat: Our annual Trunk or Treat festival happens from 5:30-7:30 every October 31. We love to host the community in safe and fun events! In 2018 we put up the Big Top for our MCC Circus. We can’t wait to have you join us for our 2024 Trunk or Treat! In 2020 we got creative and held a drive thru Trunk or Treat.

Homeless Winter Blanket/Coat Collection Center: Every winter MCC serves as a collection site for winter items to meet our homeless population’s needs. We collect blankets, coats, hats, gloves, socks, and scarves and will send items to distribution agencies. If you would like to contribute items you can email our administrative secretary for details.
